LG ‘OLED’ TVs
Here’s how we helped a leading electronics brand cement their place in the market with a new technology in smart TVs.
Background
In 2015, leading electronics brand LG launched its OLED technology in their Smart TV range. OLED technology led to LG becoming the front runner in TV innovation and led to a significant increase in market share.
How we helped – an in-store demonstration approach
To drive sales and awareness in the ERT channel LG needed to roll out a nationwide promoter program in all the retailers including Harvey Norman, JB Hi Fi, Domayne, and Bing Lee. We developed an effective in-store demonstrations schedule Australia-wide in the ERT channel and a year-long promoter program that incorporated:
- best performing retailers for the category
- busiest trading days during the week for the product and timings
- peak seasons (Mother’s Day, EOFY, Father’s Day, Black Friday sales, Christmas period)
- the client’s below the line and above the line promotional calendar
We provided extensive head office support including weekly reporting and a weekly work in progress meeting with all stakeholders. We also developed an employee retention program that included internships at LG.
