When Duracell needed to impress their most important retail partners, we built an experience so compelling it became the global benchmark for every Duracell event that followed.

Challenge

Duracell needed to host a multi-day retailer conference across Sydney and Melbourne – one that didn’t just communicate their innovation story, but made their retail partners feel it. Venues needed to accommodate 500–1,000 square metres of event infrastructure, and the experience needed to be extraordinary in both cities without compromise.

Idea

Make the product the hero of the space. By weaving Duracell’s innovation story through every touchpoint – from the moment delegates arrived to the final session – we could create an immersive experience that felt as powerful and precise as the brand itself.

Execution

D2C sourced and managed venues across Sydney and Melbourne, each capable of housing a full-scale experiential build. The centrepiece: a custom-built 3x5m battery replica serving as an immersive, LED-lit tunnel entrance – complete with synchronised lights and music. Interactive science demo stations showcased cutting-edge battery technology, and a meticulous thematic connection ran through every element of the setup. Every detail, across both cities, was considered and consistent.

Result

The events delivered an experience so exceptional they are now considered a global benchmark for Duracell conferences worldwide. Retail partners left with a deeper understanding of Duracell’s innovation story – and a lasting impression of a brand that doesn’t do anything by halves.
